MD001 floor molding is a minimalist profile used for finishing the place where the floor meets the wall. The molding, in the form of a small quarter round, has delicate milling, giving it a somewhat classic and decorative character. Full waterproofing of the molding allows it to be installed in bathrooms, kitchens, or other interiors where there is a risk of flooding. The molding will not swell, deform or delaminate under the influence of moisture, unlike mouldings made of other materials, such as MDF. The ScratchShield® technology used means that the molding is protected if you try to scratch it with a sharp tool. Such a feature can be useful if you have cleaning robots, pets, or children. Accidental impact with a child’s toy or uncontrolled movements of an automatic vacuum cleaner will not damage and dent the structure of the skirting board. In the production process, the molding is covered with a special, smoothing coating, which prepares the profile for the application of another layer of paint in any color. This is because Mardom Decor skirting boards can be styled in any way you like and adjusted in color to suit your interior.

Maximum hardening of the strip
The skirting board has innovative ScratchShield technology, which consists in maximizing the hardening of the skirting board with polymer compounds by 40% compared to skirting boards that do not have this technology. Increased impact strength and impact resistance, translate into a noticeable improvement in the durability of the molding when trying to scratch it with a sharp tool. Skirting boards with ScratchShield technology are the toughest skirting boards on the market.
Waterproof
The strip is fully waterproof. This means that it can be successfully used in rooms with high humidity, such as bathrooms or kitchens. In a situation of flooding, direct contact will not affect the appearance of the strip.
UV resistant
The molding, thanks to special refinements and coatings, is resistant to UV radiation. Installation of the molding in a sunny place will not cause its yellowing or discoloration.
Primer-coated strip
The molding is factory-coated with a special primer with smoothing, protecting and facilitating the distribution of subsequent layers of paint. For a perfect visual effect, we recommend painting the molding with any water-based paint after installation.
Resistant to swelling
Mardom Decor mouldings, unlike those made of MDF and other plastics, do not deform, delaminate or swell under the influence of moisture. They are dimensionally stable and do not shrink or expand under the influence of changes in atmospheric conditions in the room.
